The Tour

Ranthambore, one of India's most sought-after national parks, is a captivating destination that perfectly combines natural beauty and wildlife conservation.

Located in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan, this national park is a mesmerizing realm where lush jungles coexist with ancient relics, most famously the historic Ranthambore Fort. Ranthambore was among the initial nine reserves to be included in Project Tiger when the national program aimed at conserving the Bengal tiger and its habitat was launched in 1973.

The park is well known for its diverse flora and fauna, where arid terrain transforms into prolific vegetation in the monsoon. Characterized by dry deciduous forests, open grasslands, and picturesque lakes, the landscape is a testament to the region's rich biodiversity.

That said, what Ranthambore is renowned for is its healthy population of Bengal tigers, making it one of the top tiger reserves in India. Nemophilists and wildlife aficionados flock to the National Park to photograph these majestic big cats as they thrive freely within their natural habitat, an indication of wildlife conservation in action.

“Visitors are often awestruck by the spectacle of tigers navigating through the historic structures, adding a unique experience to their wildlife encounters. The park's legendary lakes also offer captivating moments, where tigers exhibit their hunting prowess. I see this as the perfect harmony between the park's historical and natural treasures,” describes Harsha.
